This is a powerful time of intense transformation and a great moment to work on manifesting your best life by understanding what your true purpose is.

This eclipse can bring you abundant opportunities, open doors to new ways of living, and shift your life experience into a much higher frequency and more aligned direction.

It can also bring challenges and reveal things for you to notice in your life that you don’t want to carry with you in the future.

The following is an exercise for you to take advantage of all this powerful energy and manifest the things you dream of by uncovering your true purpose and removing the blocks that stand in your way once and for all.

Directions:

Grab a notebook and something to write with.

Light a scented candle, burn some essential oil, and keep your favorite crystals nearby

You can also do this exercise sitting outside in the sunlight if this is possible for you, or anywhere you feel cheerful, content, and private.

You will create three columns on a piece of paper.

The first column is titled “Negative Self Image.”

The second column is titled “Pretend Self-Image”

The third column is entitled “The Real Me.”

You will consider these three columns and write a list on each one accordingly.

In the first column, you should think about all the ways in which your negative self-image manifests in your life.

What are you afraid someone else might say about you?

What traits do you dislike in other people (this is often an indicator of your negative traits).

What are your negative beliefs and long-held fears about yourself?

In the second column, write down all the ways in which you would like to be seen.

What do you want people to say about you? What are you really trying to prove to other people?

And finally, in the third column write who you are authentically.

You can easily figure this out by asking yourself: if you felt truly safe in the world without any fear, what would you be doing and who would you be?

No one will see this list but you, so be truthful and dig as deep as possible. All this will benefit you in the long run!

Read your lists and consider how you can be more authentically yourself. What can you do to incorporate more of the list in the last column? How can you be more true to yourself in everyday life?

The reason this is so important is that it is not until you actually embody your authentic self that you can manifest the life of your dreams.

Often, the negative way you worry other people perceive you is actually the way you perceive yourself.

For you to live a life of financial abundance, health, career and wonderful relationships, your image MUST align with those things. In other words, you must have self-worth in order to believe that you deserve the life you desire.

Defining your self-image and revealing who you authentically are is so important for that reason.

Once you have discovered who you really are, you can begin to work towards realizing your true purpose in life.

Take your notebook back and answer the following questions.

  • What do you love to do so much that you lose track of time?
  • What was your favorite thing growing up?
  • What things do you wish you had taken more advantage of in the past?
  • What did you dream of doing as a child?
  • Who do you envy the most in life now and why?
  • If money wasn’t an issue, what would you do with your life?
  • If you had no fears, what would you do?

Write down everything that comes to mind related to these questions, you don’t have to answer just one thing.

Don’t hold back, let the ideas flow and be honest but also let your imagination flow towards the most exciting and ‘out there’ things you love and enjoy.

This is definitely not the time to be setting rules or boundaries for yourself.

Leave any invisible shackles! Don’t let the negative words of parents, teachers, friends, and above all your own negative talk get in the way of what you are writing.

These questions will help you discover what your purpose in life is. It doesn’t necessarily mean your current profession or even the things you are passionate about.

Your purpose is always what your soul is calling you quietly and powerfully.

Another way to get to the bottom of what can be is through meditation.

Close your eyes and imagine that inside you there is a little spark of light. You can picture this in the center of your heart.

This spark of light is your purpose – the thing you were born to do.

The most powerful thing within you, calls you forward in this life.

What does it look like? Does it have a color, smell, feel? What emotion does it evoke in you?

This coming New Moon Solar Eclipse is just the most perfect time to do this kind of soul-searching inner work.

Your life experience can never change if you don’t actively look within and ask yourself these kinds of questions.

In order to know who you are and how you believe in yourself, you have to dig deep beneath the surface and be honest about what you find there.

As Dr. Wayne Dyer said, Don’t die with your music still in you.

You don’t want to waste your life without really being who you came here to be!

Use the powerful energy of this Eclipse to find out what your purpose is and bring out that authentic soul that calls out to the world.

Happy Solar Eclipse!
