As we move further into 2022, we are being bombarded with an increasing amount of high frequency cosmic energy.
This is causing major changes in consciousness and leaving many of us feeling disoriented and insecure.
In order to make sense of these changes, it is important to stay informed about the cosmic energies, alignments, and remaining events that will occur this year.
Be prepared for 2 more eclipses and 2 planetary retrogrades this year.
Each of these cosmic events represents an opportunity for us to evolve and grow spiritually.
By remaining aware of these energies, we can better prepare ourselves for the transformations taking place within and around us.
Eclipses are actually relatively common, occurring four to six times a year.
But despite their frequency, they are still considered powerful astrological events, often bringing things to a head and representing great change and transformation.
During an eclipse, we may be called to confront our shadow side – the parts of ourselves we’ve been trying to ignore or keep hidden.
This can be a scary process, but ultimately it can lead to more awareness and acceptance.
Eclipse periods can also reveal truths and secrets, and sometimes make us acknowledge something we were trying to avoid.
In this way, eclipses can be powerful catalysts for change, helping us become our best selves.
There are two types of eclipses: Solar and Lunar.
- Solar Eclipses – typically represent action (and masculine energies).
- Lunar Eclipses – typically represent the integration of experience (and feminine energies).
A Solar Eclipse occurs when the moon passes between the Sun and the Earth, creating a shadow on the Sun.
A Lunar Eclipse occurs when the Earth passes directly between the Full Moon and the Sun casting a shadow on the Earth.
In the remaining months of 2022, there are still 2 more eclipses that will come our way.
October 25 – Solar Eclipse in Scorpio
This New Moon Solar Eclipse in Scorpio is likely to be a very intense and emotional time.
We can find ourselves delving deep into our own psyche, as well as the psyche of those around us, in an attempt to understand what is driving us and them.
This can be a very cathartic and healing process, but it can also be quite difficult and challenging.
Trust, vulnerability and intimacy are likely to be key issues during this time.
It is important to remember that we are all on our own individual journeys through life, and that we each have our own unique experiences and perspectives.
Compassion and understanding are essential during this time.
If we can open our hearts and minds, we may just find that we have more in common with each other than we ever realized.
November 8 – Total Lunar Eclipse in Taurus
Lunar eclipses are often seen as a time of ending and release, as they are the culmination of the Moon’s cycle.
Just as the moon is temporarily obscured by the earth’s shadow, so our emotions can be clouded by negativity and unresolved issues.
During a lunar eclipse, it can be helpful to let go of emotions or attachments that no longer serve us.
This can be a difficult process, but it can also be incredibly liberating.
By releasing what no longer serves us, we make room for a new beginning.
In this way, lunar eclipses encourage us to embrace change and move forward in our lives with renewed clarity and purpose.
What does a retrograde planet actually mean?
When a planet passes the Earth as it orbits the Sun, we say it is retrograde.
This is because from our perspective down on Earth, it is as if the planet is moving backwards, even if this is, of course, an illusion.
When this happens, we say that the planet is going retrograde and for how long this lasts (a few weeks or months), we expect a little upheaval in the themes and patterns led by that planet.
Typically, a planet in retrograde motion is not a good time to start new projects or set intentions, but it can provide a supportive atmosphere for completing things or taking the second step for something important to you.
- Mars Retrograde – from October 30, 2022 to January 12, 2023
- Fourth Mercury Retrograde – December 28, 2022 to January 18, 2023
Will you be marking your calendars for these cosmic events?
