4. Being Connected to the Past

It is not a good idea to dwell on the past.

If you persistently think about painful or traumatic memories, you can send your energy spiraling downhill.

In other words, you are reintroducing negative energy into your body and into your life.

In the end, you find yourself surrounded by increasingly negative individuals, situations and experiences in the present and future.

This is why mindfulness is so important.

The present moment is a gift, and we should make use of it. Don’t just exist in it.
