The dominant Virgo energy in September is urging us all to refocus and reorganize. Use this opportunity to harness that spiritual energy to fully reveal your purpose.
Virgo is a hard-working and enterprising sign that represents attention to detail and harmony between mind-body and spirit.
It is also an Earth sign which brings with it a calm on earth which is welcome after the year we have had so far.
I have always enjoyed using the natural energies of different times of the year to enhance my spiritual development work.
September feels like a month that draws me to diligence and focus. It encourages me to look for routine and continue on what serves the best for my mental and physical health; and when I do that, I end up getting closer to my true purpose.
You too can use this month to dive deep and uncover your authentic purpose.
This does not mean that you should go on an investigative quest to understand what it is; you can use the transition energy of September to be quiet, observe the rhythms of nature, and see how they are reflected in your own life.
As summer draws to a close in the Northern Hemisphere, it feels natural to think carefully about how you spend your days and where your energy is focused.
Wherever you are in the world, September marks a seasonal change. Even in places that don’t seem to have marked seasons, there are always small changes in the weather, whether it’s more rain, a different prevailing wind or clearer, sunnier skies.
Taking time to observe and reflect on the seasonal changes allows your instincts to gently guide you to see your purpose in a clearer light.
I’ve put together some of my favorite ways to make the most of September’s energies and help you uncover your purpose.
Make a list of ten things that genuinely turn you on
Consider what makes you feel happy, joyful, and inspired? What makes you excited about life itself?
Once you have your list, consider how you can include one of these things in your daily routine.
Don’t get attached to the outcome of what you are doing; simply enjoy the process of it for the sake of it.
Center yourself in nature
Take the time to go outside regularly and bring yourself back to center by standing on the Earth, barefoot, if possible. Note your position. Do you tend to lean back or sway? Is your weight more in your feet, and do you find that you are leaning forward?
If you notice that you lean forward, you may be energetically stuck in the mode of pushing and striving. This energy can keep you from accepting help from the Universe, and is a sign that maybe you need to center yourself and stop trying to control things.
If you find that you lean back and your weight is in your heels, it may imply that you are holding back where you could be moving forward. You may lack the right frame of mind to make things happen.
You don’t need to judge yourself here, just realign your body and try to center yourself. Take a deep breath and try to spread your energy equally through the soles of your feet.
My favorite affirmations for September
Affirmations are a fantastic tool to be inspired by to raise your vibration and change your thinking.
I recommend that you record yourself reading these affirmations out loud and then listen to them on headphones before you go to sleep at night. There is great power in hearing your voice repeat these night after night.
These are some of my favorites, but feel free to create your own:
- I am inspired by my routine.
- I trust in the timing of the Universe.
- Everything that turns me on is part of my purpose.
- I can carry out all my tasks easily to completion.
- I am in perfect harmony with the rhythms of nature.
- I fully appreciate my life and give thanks every day.
- I am intuitive and aware of what the Universe wants to show me.
- When I relax, I am happier and able to live life with more energy.
This September, instead of striving and forcing results, practice a gentle observation that can lead you further along the path to uncovering your true purpose.
By refocusing your energies, you can make way for the kind of vibrational environment that will encourage your true purpose to emerge in your daily life.
